My name is Connie Ann. I grew up in Maryland in a very large Italian-American, Catholic family. I’m married to James, a fellow Maryland Catholic from an equally large family. Strangely, we grew up in the same town, knew all the same people as kids, but didn’t meet each other until we were 20 and 22. We live in a cute little house in Maryland and a have a pet dutch bunny named Brownie.
I have MRKH, which (among other things) means we’re unable to have biological children. That bombshell was dropped on me at 16.
As you can imagine, I’ve had a LOT of time to think about what it means to be an infertile Catholic married woman, and while I still don’t have all the answers, that’s usually what I write about here.
When I’m not at work (or at choir practice), I’m either playing my piano, reading, or writing. I have a degree in history from The Catholic University of America, and an insatiable thirst for travel. I’ve been to a few places, but not nearly as many as I would like.
This blog is about my thoughts and our life, with all of its ups and downs. It’s about having the courage to live the life that we know God has planned for us, and all in his time.
Romans 8:28
*Also, if you or someone you know is a Catholic who has MRKH, you’re not alone! There is a secret group of us on Facebook. If you’d like to join, please send me a message via my contact page.

Nice to learn more about! I agree, it is a balancing act savings $$$ for trips and adoption. In the midst of infertility, traveling has been such a bright spot and blessing. But we need to save for adoption too. 🙂

Thanks so much for your reflections. I am currently starting a Catholic outreach to couples struggling with infertility, now that I have come to a peaceful acceptance of it in my own life. God bless you! Mary
